Some quick updates

First update:

We need you to claim your business directly on the site so you can manage your listing yourself. I can no longer manage all of the listings individually so that means ownership of the listing needs to be transferred to you, the business owner. This allows you to maintain your listing, update the info, change your plan, respond to reviews and more. This needs to be done ASAP as your listing will be deleted on Oct 1st.

If you have a premium listing this does not apply to you yet. We will be transitioning your listing to yourself soon but need to manage the payments first.

How to claim your listing

IMPORTANT: Must be done from a laptop/computer!! Doing this on the phone will make it more complicated and you will not see all of the options or steps.

1) visit blackownedinrochester.com from a laptop/computer

2) search your business name

3) click your listing

4) click claim now & follow the prompts. If you choose a paid plan be on the look out for an email from me. Keep the email with the username and password nearby.

Second update:

This is to see if I should launch a marketplace for freelancers. If this doesn’t do well, then I won’t. I’m in the validation process.

Third Update:

If too many businesses go unclaimed by Oct 1st we will focus on winding down the site and preparing it to be shutdown. It’s draining on the finances and I am not sure if businesses are really appreciative of what we do here. So what’s the point in keeping it going?
